The creator and director of upcoming re-releases for the PS3, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, Fumito Ueda, hasn't ruled out the inclusion of 3D for the titles as well as including this and MOVE support for upcoming PS3 title The Last Guardian. In an interview with
Dengeki Online(Japanese only) Ueda is questioned on the possibility of incorporating the increasingly popular technology for the collection due for release next Spring. He replied:
"Originally, we weren't planning on making them 3D compatible, but it was decided upon suddenly when we determined compatibility would be a possibility. Neither Ico nor Shadow were made with 3D in mind originally, but they do fit it well I believe."
Ueda was also asked if upcoming PS3 title
The Last Guardian would include 3D compatibility, to which he replied "We're still looking into this. In its current state, we've pretty much used up the full system specs. However, we'd like people who don't normally play games to play, so if it can reach these people, we'll think about it."
He also briefly touched upon the potential support for the Playstation MOVE, saying that "Even if we did adopt Move, it would be Move compatible, and not exclusive
WE wouldn't say no to 3D and MOVE support for the above titles (although maybe we'll have to get a 3D TV first). Would you like to see these features implemented in the upcoming re-releases and
The Last Guardian? Share your thoughts below.
