New Steel Batallion for Kinect More Details
As mentioned earlier, a new Steel Batallion game without the complicated, expensive (and highly collectible) controller was announced at TGS. Well, here are some more details.

R&D Head Keiji Inafune revealed the game, dubbed Heavy Armour, during the publisher's Tokyo Game Show conference yesterday. For those unfamiliar with the Xbox original, players control a huge vertical tank fighting armies of futuristic rival superpowers.

The announcement of a game with such complex controls for a motion-sensing device could be seen as a boon for Kinect, which is launching in November with some more casual titles such as Kinect Sports and Kinectimals.

"With Kinect’s ability to track your joints and movements and understand where the player is in 3D space and the development expertise of From Software in partnership with Capcom’s own personnel, we are confident of delivering a truly immersive experience for Xbox 360 gamers," Inafune said.

No release date was given for Steel Batallion Heavy Armour.

If you could play it with a Guitar Hero guitar, then we'd be talking ;)

I remember when Steel Battalions was delivered and I was at work, so I missed it. I had to drive to a Parcel Farce depot on the other side of town and take my little red slip in to beg for my parcel. The guy took the slip and went, "Oh, that one!" then, rather than bringing it to the counter, he led me through to the back office where this giant wooden crate sat alone in the middle of the room. It was complete with stencilled writing and scary looking logos, like a shipment of RPGs or something. :)

Ripped the back seat of my Astra on that bad boy too. :(
