Sony USA is attempting to use a very, very bored Kevin Butler-sound-a-like and a frankly terrible website to counter the value comparisons between PS3 Move and Kinect that Microsoft produced some time ago.Making no attempt to inform people - or attract new PS3 owners - the
MoveVSStuff site (pictured) opens with a 'chart' comparing Move to Kinect and Nintendo's Wii. Well, actually, it compares PS3 against the other two platforms using comparisons such as:
- Blu-ray movie player.
- Stream movies and TV with Hulu Plus
- Free access to PSN for demos, HD movies and PS One
- Camera tracks controller for precise gameplay
- Full immersion with HD graphics and pinpoint accuracy
- Game like never before. In 3D. That's right, 3D.
- Controller feedback you can feel and see
- Includes power cord
Kinect and Wii only score on the last one leaving consumers to assume that Playstation Move can achieve all of the rest.
Not true Sony America. Playstation Move is the controller. It can't play movies in any format. Nor can it produce 3D or use HD graphics or get you onto PSN. That's the PS3.
Maybe time to rename the website: PlayStation 3 vs Stuff? Or take it down completely. On the off chance that people could assume that the amateurish attempt to use 'humor' (sic) to sell a product is a spoof set up to actually shame Sony...
