The Super Mario Collection Special Pack, otherwise known as Super Mario All-Stars to Westerners is due to receive a release on the Wii in Japan on October 25th.Listings for the title were up on websites such as Amazon.co.jp briefly and were removed within hours but was deftly captured by Japanese games news website
Game Johou (Japanese only) before they were retracted.
The description of the title details that it will be a port of the 1993 release of
Super Mario Collection from its original SNES release and will also include a booklet that will recap 25 years of the history of Mario together with a soundtrack that will have a mix of tracks from the original
Super Mario Bros. right through to
Super Mario Galaxy 2 released on the Wii this past June.
The game is being released in "celebration" of the 25th anniversary of Nintendo's trademark and lively plumber and will be a limited release, according to Amazon Japan's product description. We'll bring you a UK release date as soon as we know it.
