'Violent content' suggested as reason for push back.

Dead Rising 2: Case 0 Delayed in Japan
The Xbox Live Arcade precursor to Dead Rising 2, subtitled Case 0, will not be hitting the Japanese Marketplace tomorrow as planned. Instead, Capcom has listed the release date of the preview game to 'TBA'.

No exact reason was given for the push back, but Andriasang cites a Famitsu article that suggests an issue involving violent content. Yeah, we think it's hilariously ironic as well.

The company has officially said that it "discovered some things in the demo part of the game that would not be appropriate for a free sampler."

Case 0 is a partly-free demo of Dead Rising 2 that serves as a prequel to the events that take place in the retail version, along with a background to main character Chuck Greene. The free section of the game is simply a limited demo of Dead Rising 2, while the original content must be unlocked using Microsoft Points.

The delay in the digitally distributed title will not affect the retail release of Dead Rising 2, Capcom assured, and as yet only affects Japanese players. There's no word as yet on whether this will affect the European or North American launches of Case 0, but we will let you know of any comment Capcom makes on the matter.
