Final Fantasy PS3 Delay a Bad Memory

FFXIV producer says so

The producer of Final Fantasy XIV, Hiromichi Tanaka has cited "memory" issues with the PS3 as the cause for the delay of the title's release for the machine.

To put it baldly, he said, "The main reason was the memory".

He did, however, elaborate, by saying that, "They are adjusting the memory size and customising it; it took longer then we were expecting. But we’re really working hard to bring it out as soon as possible."

PC users can expect to get their hands on FFXIV when the game is released towards the end of next month. PS3 owners will have to wait a little longer with the game scheduled to be released in March 2011.

I don't know, who has a PS3 that doesn't have a PC, though?

@realvictory I'm sure most have a PC, but a far fewer percent have a PC that will be able to run it as well as a PS3.

@Satertek

Depends, though, exactly what they mean by "customising" :P Still, it's nice to hear about cases where developers take the time and get it right (hopefully ;)).
