Speaking at Gamescom yesterday, the boss of Polophony Digital and cretaor of the Gran Turismo series Kazunori Yamauchi explained that karts nearly didn't make it into the upcoming instalment of the franchise, due for release this November.
Yamauchi explained that “We were saving this for GT6, but the information leaked out so we decided we would just put it in this one.” He also discussed the game's 3D Photo Mode and the Course Maker Mode which will be included in Gran Turismo 5.
