Website Andriasang has posted details of the next character to be added to the newest Yakuza game in development and its an old returning face.
Antagonist of Yakuza 2 Ryuji Goda will be joining the existing cast of Goro Majima, Kiryu Kazuma (the series' mainstays) and Shun Akiyama from Yakuza 4 (Ryu Ga Gotoku 4 in Japan) which saw a release in March of this year.
Producer of the Yakuza series, Toshihiro Nagoshi, had this to say about the character's inclusion in the upcoming title:
"This character, who was born as a rival character who gives off a powerful aura, is at last appearing as a main character. Of course, the manly, brawny appeal of Ryuji will be in place. We'll also be telling an after story for Yakuza 2."
Seems like we'll be getting more story content between the 2nd and 3rd games in the series then. Keep on checking SPOnG for more details on the newest Yakuza as they emerge.
