No sooner had an alleged ex-employee of Real Time Worlds declared the studio's closure, that news broke of the APB developer facing administration.
Develop is reporting that 'studio sources' are speaking out about the company being handed to local administration firm Begbies Traynor Group.
Twitter accounts from various employees in the studio are filled with messages concerned about what to do next - apparently, no official word is being carried around the office by company bosses, and "tailored PR1 forms" from the administrators are due at the studio tomorrow morning.
With the developer's future under threat, the pressure is on for Real Time Worlds - an independent studio that has survived in recent years on outside investment - to find a financial saviour. If that does not happen, the team responsible for the original Crackdown and APB will cease to be.
