Namco Bandai's popular Japanese 'Tales' RPG series is to continue its run on Sony platforms, as the publisher announced the next game in the series for the PlayStation 3, along with a port of Wii title Tales of Graces and a spinoff title for the PSP.The details were revealed in the latest issue of the Japanese magazine
Shonen Jump, although no details were revealed of the next entry in the
Tales series other than the fact that it's codenamed '
New Tales.' Thanks for that.
Tales of Graces F will be the name of the PlayStation 3 port, and will come with a number of improvements including special battle attacks, and a new outfit for heroine Sophie. It will arrive in Japan this Winter, which is plenty of time to try and figure out what that '
F' stands for.
On the PSP, Japanese players should be expecting
Tales of the World Radiant Mythology 3, which is the latest in a spinoff series that stars over 80 Tales series characters. This third entry will prominently feature Aspel, protagonist of
Tales of Graces. It's due out in 2011.
