As you may have read yesterday, Black creator Stuart Black has left Codemasters before finishing his first title with the publisher, Bodycount. Apparently, that's cause for regularly-outspoken studio Gearbox Software to speak its mind on the matter.Gearbox's creative director, Mikey Neumann, responded to the news
on Twitter with the gem: "I don't know why Stuart Black's headlines for today don't read 'Guy who shits on everyone else's games can't finish his own.'"
It seems Neumann's ire towards Black is focused on the developer's curious knack of "
talking smack about other games." Which, to be fair,
he has done a fair bit.
Neumann elaborated a bit more in response to an email from
Hooked Gamers, writing, "I just got tired of [Stuart Black's] parade of self-importance. He was drumming up PR at the expense of solid games that people like. As a Creative Director, I'm not excited that people with the same title would choose to portray the position like that.
"Not to mention, with a game that nobody seems to be going gaga over that he didn't even finish."
Oh, snap. Does Neumann have a point though? Voice your thoughts in the comments box below.
