Braben: Milo and Kate Nothing to do with Kinectimals
The Milo and Kate Kinect saga just won't stop producing surprises. This time Frontier Development's David Braben has had to dive in an contradict Microsoft Game Studios Phil Spencer regarding creepy Milo and Kinectimals.

This comes after Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg was forced to backtrack on Milo and Kate's current status as alive or dead.

Phil Spencer had made an incredibly confusing statement, "I think Lionhead has always been a great place, and the nice thing about Peter [Molyneux] as Creative Director in Europe is you start to see some of those ideas around Milo also showing up in other places, so Kinectimals is actually done at Frontier." Yes, almost totally meaning-free.

However, this was pushed as "Milo & Kate tech went into Kinectimals".

This lead David Braben to tell CVG, "Kinectimals has been in development since before we saw Milo. It is built using Frontier's own technology shared with other Frontier games in development, and ideas evolved from earlier games like Dog's Life. There has not been any involvement in the technology or design by Lionhead. Milo and Kate is a completely separate (and intriguing) development from Lionhead."

Everybody clear now?
