Killzone 3 will be fully compatible with Sony's upcoming PlayStation Move peripheral, Guerrilla Games' managing director Herman Hulst revealed. The release date for the first-person shooter was also announced - February 2011.
A live demo of the game in 3D was shown to the audience, and seemed to impress. Set in an icy location that represents a frosty shantytown, Rico and company were seen shooting down Helghast soldiers with winged contraptions that allowed them to fly around the landscape. Picking one of these up allowed the player to fly over enemy cover positions and tackle waves of baddies in other ways.
Hulst said Killzone 3 represents a "technical showpiece" that will be at the forefront of the PS3's game library over the next year. Killzone 3 will be one of 20 games announced that will implement 3D technology.
