Two videos that contained the word "PS4", that look quite professional, and that have lead people to believe that "10 year lifecycles" were nonsense have been up on Youtube. This has lead to madness as claims have arisen that the vids come from Sony.
They don't.
They officially don't.
"Sony hardware PR representative Al de Leon broke it down for us (Gameinformer) in the simplest way possible: "I can confirm that this video is not from SCE [Sony Computer Entertainment]."
Watch them anyway. They hark back to a time when Sony actually did make impenetrable adverts.
Actually really really good. But I can see where they do register as fakes to me...not to say I would have entirely known without being told these were fakes, but I think I would be a little skeptical. At least on the first one...
The second one..I probably would have bought it and not thought twice about it. But the first one..I have seen a lot of advertisements in my day, and lots of high production videos and the like...and the translation font seems very off, not to mention the game image of COD MW seemed a bit odd too..and the graphic of the guy running at the kid...seems impressive better than anything I could do (which is nothing) but it definitely isn't SONY MAJOR WORLDWIDE PRODUCER OF BILLION GAJILLION DOLLAR MOVIES good...I think those things would make me think about it a bit..but again still very good..I'd probably just criticize the first one for not being up to par to past Sony ads and still buy it as real haha.
