Metal Gear Solid 2 on Schedule... Just
Konami reveals release strategy for Sons of Liberty.
Konami of Japan yesterday announced that the Japanese release of Metal Gear Solid 2 is scheduled for December 13 in Japan. This date has left the company little room for delay if the game is to be released before Christmas.
In an unusual turn of events, the Japanese giant has also revealed that the Stateside launch of the game will be November 13, a whole month earlier, and just one week before the launch of GameCube. Is PlayStation out to spoil Nintendo’s fun again!? We think so. We wouldn’t be surprised if a PS2 price drop is also on the cards around the same time.
As usual, the European release of the killer app has slipped to ‘early next year’. We’ll have more news on the ultimate in tactical espionage action soon.
