(Note: Chart position is first, then game name, publisher, format and sales for this week)

It's been a good week for Konami as well, with the latest in its annual football game Winning Eleven (Pro Evolution Soccer to you and me) represented three times in the Top 10 – the PS3, PSP and PS2 versions have reached third, sixth and ninth on the chart respectively. Bandai Namco's Fullmetal Alchemist game on the PSP rounds off the week's new releases in the chart.

This is a Top 10 dominated by Sony platforms – the only Wii title to chart is the long-standing New Super Mario Bros. Wii, while Square Enix's Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 continues to perform well for the Nintendo DS. Tomodachi Collection looks like it might finally be on the way out, at #10.

While the PlayStation family benefits this week, preliminary numbers for the week ahead show that the Wii and DS are set to make a comeback. Day One sales have been released, and show AAA platformer Super Mario Galaxy 2 riding high on 143,000 units, with Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Masou Kishin – The Lord of Elemental following close behind on 64,600 units. Get ready for a Mario-themed chart-topper next Friday...
