No surprises there

Microsoft Deal with Bungie 'Unchanged' by Activision
The Activision 10 year deal with Bungie has come as a surprise. However, given the outline of the partnership, Microsoft's statemented response doesn't.

The deal states that Bungie and Activision/Blizzard "have entered into an exclusive 10-year partnership to bring Bungie's next big action game universe to market."

Microsoft's statement to the press reads:

"Our partnership with Bungie as a first-party developer for Xbox 360 remains unchanged, and right now we're deeply engaged with them on the development of Halo Reach, which is poised to be the biggest game of 2010."

Next up, EA brings congratulations?

This merger with Activision will likely open doors for the video game company to spread further than XBox to possibly Playstaion's and PC's. Merger after merger is being announced lately, and now that the Activision Bungie merger is going to take place, video games will be changing. Bungie is well known for creating the XBox Halo games. Hopefully this will also strengthen both companies' weak sides; and help them to take a larger share of the market. That would be awesome, to be able to play some of Bungie's games on my computer, would be an experience in itself!
