Gamescom To Host London Press Conference
As far as trade events go, Gamescom has made quite a name for itself despite having its debut show in 2009. Now to capitalise on the momentum, the Germanic organisers will be staging a press conference in London to promote the fun and good times that 2010 will bring.

Gamescom's debut last year saw more than 245,000 visitors, 458 exhibitors and over 4,000 journalists attending the Cologne-based expo - a success if we ever saw one. Unlike American trade event E3, Gamescom is open to the public as well as industry heads.

Franko Fischer bigged up the event as senior executives plan for the 4th May London conference. "As a focal point for the games industry, Gamescom continues to develop internationally and will be the place to meet for the international industry and the trade. Only in Cologne in August will the trade get to meet the whole value-added chain from developer to industry, international trade and consumers."

They really want us there, don't they? We'll get you all the latest Gamescom related news as we inch ever closer to the expo date in August. Until then, here's the official website.
