Namco Bandai has confirmed that it will be releasing critically acclaimed RPG Demon's Souls in the UK on June 25th. Namco Bandai says the version we'll belatedly get over here will be "an exclusive European limited edition retail pack".Included in that PS3-exclusive pack will be a CD soundtrack, hardback art book and a strategy guide.
The game has been out elsewhere in the world for a while now. Sony published it in Japan back in February last year, while Atlus took it to the American market in October and
sold more than three times as many copies as it expected to. The game scored 89/100 on review aggregate site Metacritic.
More? OK. Here's the company line on the game: "Revolutionary online features support your adventure like never before, presenting seamless interconnectivity that serves in every instance to enhance the single-player game. Team up with other players in simultaneous cooperative play, working together to topple some of the game's colossal bosses, or force your way into the games of skilled players and challenge them to PvP battle.
"Leave hints and clues for those who will follow in your footsteps; either intentionally or through your own inadvertent demise, your bloodstains will allow your successors to view a replay of your death, hinting at how to avoid your gruesome fate. Unprecedented in its depth and subtlety, peerless in its relentlessly challenging gameplay,
Demon's Souls is the ultimate action RPG."
