MTV and Harmonix parent, Viacom, wants at least some of the $150 million it paid out in bonuses based on the performance of games in the Rock Band stable.The LA Times reports that a recent SEC filing by Viacom states that, "At December 31, 2009, we believe that we are entitled to a refund of a substantial portion of amounts previously paid, but the final amount of the earn-out has not yet been determined."
Viacom's demand comes, "After losing money for the third consecutive year on its Rock Band video games produced by Harmonix".
The news comes as Electronic Arts reviews its distribution deal with the Rock Band franchise. It seems that
Rock Band Green Day being the last game to be pushed out under the current agreement.
