Tekken for GBA under threat from lawsuit
Interactive Studio Management, following a disagreement over payment and commissions, has filed a lawsuit against Sandbox Studios, the developer of Tekken for the Game Boy Advance.

The writ states that Sandbox Studios unlawfully withdrew from a binding contract on Tekken and several other high profile games including ESPN Hockey and Shrek for unnamed platforms.

It is also claimed that Sandbox breached an agency agreement by “…entering into development deals for interactive games through the use of a shell entity or alter ego (Sandbox Canada) and by failing to pay ISM any fees to which it was entitled for those deals under the terms of the agency agreement.”

Interactive Studio Management’s attempt to freeze the assets of Sandbox (ooh err!) was unsuccessful, meaning that development of Tekken can continue uninterrupted for the time being.

We will bring you more as it breaks.
