Konami of Japan has released the first screenshots of its version of Gradius for the Game Boy Advance.
As you can see, the game looks splendid, far better than the 1985 original. Strange isn’t it, that a version of a game that fits in your pocket looks better than the original, a game so huge it needed a giant wooden box to live in.
Gradius is the masterpiece of Konami’s Nemesis team and boasts one of the finest pedigrees in gaming history. Pioneering the power-up culture Gradius springs from the loins of the classics Salamander, Nemesis and Parodius.
The new game, called Gradius Galaxies, will have eight brand new levels and will feature massive animated bosses.
You can expect to see the game around Christmas of this year.
