Roxxxy: The Sex Robot That Knows Soccer
Advanced sex doll showcased at adult entertainment expo.
At the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas (probably right next door to the Consumer Electronics Show), inventor Douglas Hines revealed 'Roxxxy' – the world's first “sex robot”, that can also give you some pillow talk.
Leading the charge in sex doll innovation, this life-size robotic girlfriend is not only programmed to react to your touch, but to also provide something of a conversation about hobbies and interests. Hines, a football fan, uses the sport as an example of topics Roxxy understands, along with Porsches. Mind you, who doesn't like Porsches?
“She's a companion. She has a personality. She hears you. She listens to you. She speaks. She feels your touch. She goes to sleep We are trying to replicate the personality of a person,” Hines explained to the Telegraph about his robot model.
Weighing 120 pounds and customisable in race, hair colour and breast size, Roxxy comes with five different types of personalities ranging from outgoing and adventurous to shy and naiive. Updates are sent to the robot wirelessly over the Internet and using this connection can also send her man email messages.
Roxxy is available in Europe and the US, but there are plans to take her worldwide too – if you're feeling lonely you can grab one (with accompanying laptop) for a price of $7,000 to $9,000. Yikes. Don't worry though, if women robots aren't your thing – a male version called 'Rocky' is also in the pipeline.
And yes, we're trying to work out how to get some videogaming companionship out of her as well.
