John Woo Making Stranglehold Film
For the three of you that enjoyed Stranglehold, you might be excited at the news that action director John Woo is turning it into a movie. And that he wants to make another game.

In an interview with Cinematical, the Asian movie auteur spoke about his recent film, Red Cliff, and the possibilities of making 3D films. Of the topics covered, his 2007 computer game Stranglehold was mentioned - starring Chow Yun Fat and the spiritual sequel to the rather-good Hard Boiled. Woo briefly said;

“I forgot to tell you. We are going to make that into a movie.”

When asked if he was involved in any other computer game projects at the moment, the director noted he was busy directing two movies in Taiwan and Shanghai so “I don’t have much time, even though I want to make one again.”

Stranglehold was... an interesting game when it was released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. We can’t help but think the premise is somewhat better suited for the big screen rather than a game controller, but we wonder if any game projects Woo is thinking about involves more Chow Yun Fat.
