SquareSoft has announced, much to the gasping surprise of the games industry, that Final Fantasy X has sold really rather well following its launch in Japan.
The company has revealed that FFX shifted a staggering 2.14 million on day of release, smashing all previous records and going double platinum in one day. To put this into context, Gran Turismo 3: A Spec has shifted a mere 1,097,801 units since it launched in the territory several months ago.
