Infinity Ward's, (in case you've not heard, it develops
Modern Warfare 2) man on the frontline, Robert Bowling, has been speaking about the highly anticipated game. First, facts: the PC version of the game as "Officially" not been delayed; and that zombies and aliens will never appear in a
MW.
Secondly, it also appears that gamers are keen to know what the developer feels about Activision/Blizzard CEO, Robert - Bobby - Kotick. During a
Q&A Bowling was asked several Kotick-related questions by VG247.
"Q: Do you like Bobby Kotick?
"A: [Laughs] I love Bobby Kotick."
And...
"Q: Are you worried that the way he’s perceived may have an affect on marketing and PR for Infinity Ward products?
"A: No. I think people appreciate our games for what they are, and can separate what we do from what Activision does."
And finally, "Q: If you had the power, would you seek Bobby Kotick’s replacement?
"A: [Proper laugh] Yeah, I can’t answer that."
Frankly, we would have expected something more diplomatic... such as "I wouldn't replace Mr Kotick, he's doing an awesome job" or "With great power comes great responsibility".
Let's hope we can get off the CEO obsession and back to the game soon.
