According to IMDB, he's not written anything that's been aired since 2000 (
The Patriot) but Robert Rodat is the writer of choice for director
Sam Raimi's World of Warcraft movie.
Rodat, also credited as a writer on gore-sob-war flick,
Saving Private Ryan, is apparently "the best character writer I can find", says Raimi who wants "to be really faithful to the game...to the Horde and the Alliance and the mythology that takes place in the game, and the archetypes that the game presents."
So, what's Rodat's task? Says Sam it's to "really craft an original story within that world that feels like a '
World of Warcraft' adventure. Only obviously it's very different 'cause it's expanded and translated into the world of a motion picture."
