With the DSi's continued dominance of the Japanese handheld market (even outpacing home consoles), it makes sense that the software sales reflect this. Turns out it does, with the Media Create's Top 10 littered with games for Nintendo's portable dual-screened wonder. The big news is that Pokemon, the lord of wanton animal entrapment, has been dethroned in favour of Tomodachi Collection - which we guess is a sort of wanton Mii entrapment. Gotta catch all your friends, after all.

On the PS3, Namco Bandai is probably still thinking that porting Tales of Vesperia was a good idea, with the RPG holding tight in fourth position. Baseball and Yu-Gi-Oh have the hearts of PSP owners this week, but who knows what the landscape will be when we see PSP Go owners opting for digital content instead.

Halo 3: ODST was the only new release to chart this week, coming in at a respectable Number 9 and selling 30,000 units in its first week. So besides the top three shake-up and ODST's introduction, things are pretty quiet on the Eastern front. Here's how it all broke down.

1 (6) Tomodachi Collection Nintendo
2 (2) Pokemon Heart Gold Nintendo
3 (1) Pokemon Soul Silver Nintendo
4 (3) Tales of Vesperia Namco Bandai
5 (4) Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu Portable 4 Konami
6 (11) Wii Sports Resort Nintendo
7 (5) SaGa 2: Hihou Densetsu - Goddess of Destiny Square Enix
8 (9) Dragon Quest IX Square Enix
9 (NE) Halo 3: ODST Microsoft
10 (7) Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Tag Force 4 Konami
