Will Neill Blomkamp please make his bloody mind up
Peter - Bad Taste - Jackson's mate (and director of District 9) Neill Blomkamp has decided that if he can't direct Master Chief, then he'll at least start attaching all sorts of back-story to him.
He tells Rotten Toms, " I totally love the universe of Halo on every level. Not only is it this epic space saga but Master Chief is such an awesome character. This guy - whether he knows it or not - is a victim of this military-industrial complex. It's a totally compelling world to be involved in. So on a creative level I'd love to go back there, but I probably would say no."
Oh, for goodness' sake make your mind up Neill.

Whenever I see the word "victim" appear in the context of some sort of nameless, faceless, uber-corporation I have to laugh and roll my eyes at the cliche of it all.
In other words, pray to God that he doesn't ever get the chance to make his movie.
