Just a quickie for you here. Our friends in the Land of the Rising Sun have a little publication called Famitsu. It is Japan’s definitive guide to the games industry and covers everything from development to recruitment.
Known for its Japan-centric attitude, Famitsu rarely awards very high scores and when it does, the games world sits up and listens.
It just so happens that Famitsu has completed its review of Final Fantasy X, the latest instalment of SquareSoft’s wildly popular RPG series. The magazine awarded the game 39 out of 40.
Only one 40 out of 40 score has ever been awarded, and that went to Zelda 64.
