Konami of Japan has revealed that Silent Hill 2 will make its Japanese debut for PlayStation 2 on September 27th. Expected to retail for 6800 Yen (around £40) the game’s release follows just two weeks after the proposed launch of Nintendo’s GameCube. Is this a coincidence? We don’t know, but big game releases are often tactically placed against opposing consoles as software houses compete for gamers’ cash.
The UK and US releases are still expected this side of Christmas, but no specific date has been confirmed. Meanwhile, feast your eyes on these screens.
