England's performance at the cricket might have been abysmal in Headingley this weekend, but that hasn't stopped UK gamers heading out to the shops and buying plenty of copies of Codemasters'
Ashes Cricket 2009. The game now sits at the top of the UK All Formats Game Chart. That makes Codies the first British publisher to hit Number 1 since
Eidos with Battlestations Midway back in early 2007. That's a bit depressing, eh?
That means, of course, that
Wii Sports Resort has been deposed from Number 1. It now sits at Number 2.
The rest of the movement in the Top 10 is mostly shuffling, with the exception of Disney's movie spin-off,
G-Force, managing to climb 18 places to Number 9.
