Activison's £99.99 Tony Hawk Ride
November 20th sees the release of Tony Hawk Ride on Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation 3. UK retailer, Game, already has its exclusive offer up to see.

That offer is £99.99 for the game and the board. According to the outlet, "you can be the envy of your friends with a limited edition, GAME-exclusive version of the skateboard controller!"

That limited edition is a red and black skateboard with a Tony Hawk logo design.

And yes, we did say £99.99 for the game and the board.

While I will almost definitely purchase Ride... I will require a more plain and none more black controller. This red and black thingy does not match my own aesthetic tastes. The colours are fine, but the gaudy graphics are not for me...

Lol! £100? No chance.

I'm beginning to wonder, is it Activision's agenda to overload us all with peripherals? This is why I chose not to invest in Rock Band or Guitar Hero, because finding space to store this stuff, must be annoying.

Enjoy getting fleeced, skateboard fans.

Well if the game would retail at £39.99 then £60 for the board doesn't sound too bad. My only problem with it is that it will only be suitable for Ride.

I would love an arcade stick for SF4 but at £100 for the stick I just can't afford it. But at least the stick will work on Tekken 6 and all the 2d fighters I have on by XBLA account.

I'll have to test this out before thinking about buying but compared to the price of other ad-ons it seems reasonable. I mean a keypad for the xbox costs £25 so about double that for the Ride board sounds OK.

Activision have indicated otherwise. Clearly, snowboarding, wakeboarding and surfing games are obvious choices, but the implication is that we may se it used for more than just those.

But I'd love a decent snowboarding game,there hasn't been one that I really enjoyed since Cool Boarders.

@DoctorDee Cool Boarders was sweet!

If they do make further games for the board I hope they are very different and not just a Tony Hawks port with snow in.

Guess these will be collecting dust when Natal comes out...sorry I know I'm dreaming there.
