Sony Cuts PlayStation 2 Price Once Again
The cost of fancy bookends lowers even further.
Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that it will cut the price of the PlayStation 2 console in Japan to 35,000 yen ($281.7) from the current 39,800 yen, starting from Friday.
No reason was given for the sudden price slash, but a reduced price at this stage sets the scene nicely for future cuts when the GameCube and X-Box hit the shelves.
