Funcom is trying to entice wayward
Age of Conan players back into the fold. The company is embarking on a 're-evaluation campaign' that gives former account holders a commitment-free frolic with the game.
If you've had an
Age of Conan account but have found yourself straying to other games, you can go back to
AoC for a free two week period with no strings attached. Funcom just wants to see if that thing you had together can work again, if you can recapture what you saw in each other in the first place.
You can jump back in between July 8th and July 22nd. If you pick up your sword again at any point in that period, you'll get two weeks free, regardless of when you play.
Funcom also states, "It is also important to note that the free trial campaign will temporarily be closed to ensure the best play environment for all returning players."
"It has been quite a journey for the entire team getting to where we are today", uttered director on
Age of Conan, Craig Morrison. "I think that players have always seen the great potential in
Age of Conan and we have put a lot of effort into realizing that potential. The game has improved tremendously since launch and we look forward to having players come back and seeing the changes for themselves!"
Alright, we know that work on MMOs is always an ongoing process and you can call us bitter, cynical bastards if you like - but at the point you start spending money on a game, shouldn't it already be beyond the "potential" stage?
Anyway, you can return to Funcom's loving arms
here.
