Slowly, the shock of Sega teaming up with its former adversaries is easing off a little, but every announcement still comes as quite a surprise.
Sega of Europe and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe have announced today that SCE will publish Sega games for the PlayStation 2 in Europe.
"Since we do not have our own marketing network in Europe, we decided to have SCE to handle distribution of our games for PlayStation 2,"said a Sega spokesman. “Sega's game software for Dreamcast will continue to be handled by a European distributor.”
This announcement further bolstered Sega’s share price, and follows on from the announcement made earlier this month that the companies will be linking the PlayStation 2 and the Dreamcast for online gaming.
