Sony was bullish on the future of PSP at its E3 Press Conference, showing not just the new UMD-free Go model, but also announcing the long awaited PSP Gran Turismo title.
The definitive PlayStation driving game has sold 52 million copies to date, we are told... but so far none of them have been on PSP. Polyphony aims to change this in a big way. GT PSP is, they are keen to announce, "not a sub-set of the series" and the stats seem to back them up. 800 cars, 35 tracks and 60 track configurations. And all of this at 60 frames per second.
In order to collect that vast number of cars, there will be an ad-hoc WiFi trading mode.
The game footage they showed looked impressive enough, but we'll reserve our final verdict for when we see it in our hands.
