E3 '09: New Super Mario Brothers Hitting Wii this Christmas
Nintendo's gone and done it - announced the rumoured New Super Mario Brothers Wii.

The game appeared on stage at Nintendo's E3 press conference in classic 2D Mario style. Well, nearly - 2.5D. This ain't the dark ages. The key feature is shown off was a strong emphasis on multiplayer, with gamers tearing through the levels, battling to snatch up the most coins.

Four players were shown demoing the title, including the NoA's executive vice president of sales and marketing, Cammie Dunaway.

Players can dish up attacks such as jumping on each other and knocking each other about with fireballs. Killed players popped back up in bubbles, with other players able to free them or, if they prefer, leave them hanging. There was also a propeller suit on show.

New Super Mario Bros Wii is due out in time for 'the Holidays' - Christmas to us lot in the UK.

Cant effing wait....
For me the true value of gaming has always been the benchmarks thrown down by the true Mario titles.
Ninty are just amazing, with (to my knowledge!) 99+% success in laying down groundbreaking titles with playabillity to match...
