Following on from Konami offering to include you in Metal Gear Solid 2, and then putting up a leader board for high scores on the demo version, Konami now wants your help in deciding what to include in the limited edition of MGS 2.
The limited edition of Metal Gear Solid contained a pamphlet, T-shirt, soundtrack CD, dog tags with the serial number of the game and a metallic memory card. This time, it’s up to you. As with most limited edition game releases, a few of the original MGS sets were left on the shelf gathering dust until the price was reduced to point where it became rude not to buy one. Konami obviously hopes to avoid this happening again!
This is the latest, nice online type thing Konami has done for us and we think we know why. Hideo Kojima has recently vowed to release no further information on his latest creation. This means no screenshots, gameplay info or story line titbits. A marketing department’s nightmare.
So to compensate, we get this enhanced level of interactivity with the MGS 2 team. And you know what? We like it!
