Phantasy Star for Game Boy Advance
Sega of Japan has confirmed that it will be releasing a selection of MegaDrive ports for the Game Boy Advance, one of which is the RPG classic Phantasy Star.

The first Phantasy Star appeared on the Master System in 1988 and also received a Gamegear release in 1992. These outings were followed by Phantasy Stars 2, 3 and 4 all on the MegaDrive and all of which received critical acclaim.

Sega has hinted at releasing the MegaDrive versions of the Phantasy Star before. In an interview with Famitsu, a member of Sonic Team was quoted as saying that it would at least be feasible to play an RPG on the Advance, due to its high storage capabilities and extended battery life.

It is likely that Sega will release two double packs for the Game Boy Advance, each with two games on one cartridge.
