While Friday now means we have
shiny new DSiWare to get excited about, Nintendo's still delivering new downloadable content to the Wii. This week we get a couple of Virtual Console titles hailing from ye olde SEGA Master System -
Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars and
Secret Command.
Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars, originally released in 1988, has Alex pegging it around looking to recover the 12 Miracle Balls and restore the stars of the Aries Constellation. You know the deal - you run, you jump, you kill stuff. There are 12 rounds spread across six levels, including toy land, robot factory and outer space. It's 500 Nintendo Points.
Secret Command was released as
Rambo: First Blood II in North America but the license disappeared when it came over here. It's a top-down shooter in which Nintendo says you, "Battle frenzied attacks from enemy soldiers, rocket troops, tanks and other enemies doing everything they can to stop you from saving the hostages. Use your trusty machine gun and compound bow, equipped with explosive-tipped arrows, to pave the way to victory. Let nothing stand in your path!"
Secret Command is also 500 Wii Points.
With these two releases there's now a grand total of 288 games available via Virtual Console.
