Nintendo UK's managing director, the enormously Australian Mr David Yarnton, came a cropper last week when his 'Aussie-style' rack failed to win him first place.
The rack in question was lamb. The competition was the Cordon Bleu Henley Food Festival Cook-off.
The Henley Standard reports that Yarnton was up against Matt Bailey's "scallops with a butternut squash and roast garlic puree".
"Judge Giancarlo Caldesi said that both cooks demonstrated differing techniques and were “really impressive”, and Stuart Conibear said that these two “really raised the bar”. Mr Bailey was declared the winner," reported the
Standard.
We have contacted Nintendo regarding the fact that Cooking Mama support would not have steered Yarnton's rack for the win!
The rack itself was unavailable for comment.
