Oh, Namco Bandai can tease! It would appear that Patty Fruel, the exclusive character set to appear in the recently-announced PS3 version of
Tales of Vesperia, was hinted at in the Xbox 360 version of the game. Cheeky, eh?
A screen from the 360 version (shown to the right) carries the text, "Inside the drawer, there's a pirate outfit for girls. A name is written, but it's hard to make out because of heavy wear." Could that be Patty? Yes. Yes it could...
The PS3 version of
Tales of Vesperia emerged earlier in the week courtesy of Japan's
Jump magazine. The game, which was previously Xbox 360-exclusive, was so popular in Japan that it drove enough Japanese gamers to buy a Microsoft console to make it
sell out last August. That's in a territory where the 360 has only just
sold 1 million units, compared to 3 million PS3s.
The 360 version was just
announced for release in Europe.
Other titles from the
Tales series were also revealed in Jump -
Tales of Graces for the Wii and
Tales of VS for PSP.
