Big cheese and game industry demigod Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed that Nintendo will definitely be showing Mario and Zelda for GameCube at SpaceWorld in August later this year. Both games will be in playable form for the first time.
It is believed that neither game was shown at E3 for this very reason. Luckily the GameCube was a success without the help of Mario, Zelda or Metroid.
There is also a rumour spreading that GameCube Mario will be called Mario Sunshine. This information came from references to something, we don’t know what, called Mario Sunshine on Nintendo’s Japanese GameCube site.
This news increases the chances of Nintendo opting to show both titles in Europe at the Nintendo Show which will be held in early September in London. As with most events, Nintendo will want to show us something completely new. Perhaps Metroid is in the pipeline?
