Activision Blizzard has just made an announcement confirming the release date of the now 'Call of Duty' prefix-less Modern Warfare 2.
The game will be released worldwide on November 10th, 2009 - a date you might have seen at the end of its teaser trailer. That is, you might note, a Tuesday. Whether that means Acti-Bliz is making an exception to the usual Friday release day for us Brits, or whether it will actually send the game our way on the 13th remains to be seen.
"Everyone on the team is laser focused on making the most gripping experience we've ever created", uttered Infinity Ward's CEO, Vince Zampella. "No detail is too small and every finishing touch imaginable is underway to make Modern Warfare 2 our best ever. We can't wait for our fans around the world to play starting November 10th."
Infinity Ward hasn't said exactly which platforms we'll get the game on, but the Xbox 360 and PS3 at least are a safe bet.
