Rockstar Games (via its parent, Take-Two Interactive) has confirmed the arrival this winter of
Max Payne 3. The game - developed by Rockstar Vancouver, will be popping up on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
And yes, it still tells the story of "Max Payne, a hard-boiled New York City detective with a penchant for violence, out to avenge the death of his family". But apparently the third iteration moves Max's story in a 'different direction'. Let's hope its away from Mark Wahlberg.
Rockstar's Sam Houser says, "This is Max as we've never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever. We experience the downward spiral of his life after the events of Max Payne 2 and witness his last chance for salvation."
His last chance? Surely not? Well, from the look of the image (right) Max is certainly looking far from well. Maybe it's all that avenging.
