Dated: Metal Gear Online Expands with Raiden
Konami has put a date to the next Metal Gear Online DLC - Scene Expansion. That date is March 17th.

For early birds who get in soon to pre-order, there will be exclusive ‘Cardboard Box Man’ head gear for use in the game.

This latest expansion brings three new maps to the party. According to Konami you've got, "the industrial wasteland of Outer Outlet newly available, with its above and below ground areas suited for long-range attacks, while Hazard House is three-storey building which favours close kills. Finally, Scene Expansion also includes the Ravaged Riverfront Clock Tower, wherein the battle rages across above and underground and underwater."

Also inbound are two fresh characters from Metal Gear times past, Raiden and Vamp. Both have crazy jumping abilities, while "Raiden can use a High Frequency Blade to attack and block damage", Vamp "is equipped with different knifes, and his special ability is to respawn at the same spot he was defeated".

On top of all that, there's another new 'Solo Capture' mode, which sees players doing their damnedest to hold on to a specific target for a set amount of time.

The expansion will cost €7.99, with UK pricing yet to be confirmed.

More immediately, if you stick your PS3 on you'll find that existing expansions have dropped in price. Futhermore, as of mid-March the PSN wallet system will be supported as a payment method for MGO content.
