Don't be confused. This is from Pacific Rift.

SCEE has just announced that MotorStorm Arctic Edge will be an Autumn release for the PSP.

Bigbig Studios (Pursuit Force) is developing the game, to be based in Sarah Palin's beloved Alaska. As you might expect, the buggy might not be the best suited to the conditions, so there are two new vehicles: the Snowcat and the Snow Machine.

The game is both single-player action, online multi-player (two to eight players can compete against each other wirelessly via Ad Hoc Mode on PSP). Or there is Infrastructure Mode for less local play.

We are also told that "Each vehicle in the game has a selection of different parts - for example wheels, exhausts, spoilers - liveries and stickers to choose from. Players can also create their own liveries from a set of base patterns and decals. There are so many combinations that each player could own a unique vehicle!"

Could this be a PSP kill app? I've tried other racing games on PSP and not really bought into them - Sega Rally was just a bit tedious.

Motorstorm Pacific Rim is best enjoyed with a bunch of mates all in the same room, but the loss of screen real estate and slightly lower distance fidelity does dampen things. So, playing Arctic Edge without loss of screen size (to the PSP single player, not the PS3 game, you dolt) sounds like great clothes-on fun.

Playing it nude sounds like fun too. Only not in the same room. That would be totally gay.
