Following a report that
German USK rating board has revealed that Team17's
Worms could be appearing on the PlayStation network, SPOnG can exclusively reveal that this is indeed the case.
Speaking to Team17 founder and Studio Director, Martyn Brown, this morning we were told:
"Yes, we can confirm that
Worms is coming to PSN soon, it's been fully optimised for the platform (including 1080p) and contains a lot more content than the original XBLA launch simply because there was no size limitation."
The timeframe for the arrival of the gaming classic - which has been hugely successful on Microsoft's Xbox Live Arcade since its launch there two years ago - is thought to be sooner rather than later. We'd expect to be able to download it before the end of March.
Meanwhile the Yorkshire-based independent is also full-steam ahead on
bringing the much-loved Amiga title, Alien Breed to console. More on that soon.
