It's Friday. Because you're skint and can't afford to drink anywhere but the hell of Wetherspoons pubs, you might want to turn on your Wii and have a look at the latest Virtual Console offerings. Namely,
Sonic Chaos and
Clay Fighter!
Dr Robotnik (Dr Eggman, if you're all nu-skool) has entered the nuclear arms race. To do it, he's had away with the red Chaos Emerald. This is causing all kinds of problems, with parallel universes entering the equation and Sonic's home, South Island, sinking into the ocean.
You know what you've got to do, right? Race around like a maniac setting things right. You'll also be able to fly around like a maniac, with
Sonic Chaos having been the first Master System game to have Tails as a playable character. You can do all that for 500 Wii Points.
Then we have
Clay Fighter. It's not easy being a circus freak. You're shunned by society and girls just don't want to sleep with you. But at least if an un-Earthly meteorite made of interstellar clay smashes through your Big Top you can start beating the hell out of your co-workers with superpowers!
In this 2D fighter you can play as the likes of Bonker "the cheerfully manic clown" or Blue Suede Goo, "the mild mannered Elvis impersonator turned violent vocalist" as you try to master their 'Claytalities' and, y'know, smash folk up.
Clay Fighter was originally released on the Mega Drive and N64. It'll cost you 800 Wii Points.
These titles put Virtual Console's number of titles up to 276.
